PHYSICAL AND MATHEMATICAL FACULTY

    The faculty of Physics and mathematics began its activity in 1968 as a department of Mathematics in the component of the faculty of the Uzbek language and literature at the University. This department was eparated as a faculty of physies and mathematics in 1972. The faculty of Physics and the faculty of mathematics were formed on the basis of this faculty.
    Admission plans were shortened in 1995.The faculty of physics and mathematics were formed again. Different years prof. K.B.Boybutaev, assistant professors E.Chorshanbiyev, E.Shakarboyev, I.Muminov, Ch.Mirzayev, K.Holikov, A.Tishlikov, B.Ergashev, R.Karimov, N.Mamadiyorov, S.Samadov, Ch.Samatov, Sh.Niyozov, S.P.Allayorov, Sh.Ashurov lead the faculty as deans. Now H.Norjigitov is leading the faculty. There are for chairs in the faculty.

General physics,
General mathematics,
Applied mathematics and informatics.

    Scientific researches on 7 directions are carried out on the chair.
- Creating automaticaly ruling systems.
- Theory of functions.
- Methods of teaching mathematics.
- Using sunrays energy in agriculture.
- Technology of cultivating the soil in condition of Syrdarya region.
- Creating factors of technical means.
    Members of the chair are the winners of UzRFTDK grants. Two Pepublic patents were taken for rationallzational suggestions and ful-filled works on directions of “Dynamics of  wearing moving parts of soilcultivating agricultural machines”. The chair of physics regularly works with the co-operation of ASUzR Institutes. In Particular, prof.R.Avezov, A.Saidov, Academicion R.Muminov and other members of scientific producing society “ Physics of the Sun” help the students to deliver lectures in special courses, to head scientific researches of post-graduate students.
    The Chair fulfilles scientific orders of ASUzR state committee on problems using sun energy in national economy. (leader assistant professor SH.Niyazov) More than 200 scientific, methodical and educational articles were prepared and published in different scientific magazines, collectionsconference materials last two and three years since the faculty was organized 6 monographies, 20 educatoinal supplies were published.
     Scientists of the faculty took part with results of their own research works in varna (1989 y), in Toshkent (1996 y) in Nukus (1998,2000 y) and in international conference of physicist in Toshkent (2004 y). In 1990,1991,1993 y scientific conferences dedicated to “Problems of teaching informatics at schools and at the Institutes of higher education” and in 1994 the 600 anniver ary of M.Ulugbek were organized and held .
    On the chairs more than 120 educational supplies were prepared and methodical and educational collections were published.
