    On the 29 th of June a training which was devoted to the theme: “The Relationships between Uzbekistan and India, history, Present and Future» was held in Gulistan State University.
     The arrangement was opened by vice-president of the university H.K.Karshiboev, who has highlighted the significance of this seminar. The embassadar of India in Uzbekistan professor Said Manal Shox al-Kadriy has mentioned the success achieved in the area of Science and culture in Uzbekistan. Then a secretary on political matters K.D.Deval , director of the Cultural of India in Uzbekistan doctor Nosir Rizo Khan and a scientist of Sirdaryo legion Vahob Rahmonov gave a talk.

    On june 5 in Gulistan state university the Marathon was held by intiative of the department of Russian language and literature. The dean of faculty made his report and the head of chair S.S.Kulbaeva wished everybody good luck! From Tashkent the ensemble galore – ethnography «Ivushka» was invited to the party. Especially, the performance, ofstudents of Slavonic philology department was very interesting.

Prorektor on spiritual and moral education R.Mahmudov opened the meeting with opening address. There were listened the reports of assistant of viloyats hakim, the chairman of committee of Women D.Haydarova, the specialists of Ministry Higher and Secondary education of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.Kuchkarova, Chairman of Union “Olima” Women of the Republic of Uzbekistan R.Murtazaeva, the deputy of Oliy Majlis O.Esanova and others.

    On 25th of May at Gulistan State University finished a final stage of competition on mini-football among the teachers of faculties. Won the team of Psysics-matematics faculty and were given a cup of trade-union of the University and keep sake presents.

    The solemn sleing off of sportsmen-participants of a University Olympiad – was organized on the 20 th of May in Gulistan State University.
     The event was attended by Shodmonkulov O, the head of Sirdarya region. He wished success to the young sportsmen.
     On that day the team of 74 members left for Tashkent to take part in the regional selection competition in basketball, volleyball, handball and football.

     On May 10-11 was held the Republican Olympiad of talented students on the English Language at G.S.U. From 41 participants the first post took the student of University of the world Economy and Diplomacy D.Zimesova, the second post took the student of Tashkent state daw Institute Sardor Musaev and the third post took the student of G.S.U Askar Khadjibaev.

     On may 11 was held a competition "The Princess of higher educational Institution" at the Gulistan State University.
     Clever, talented, and quick- witted girls of all faculties took part at the party. On the whole the whole third year student of the "Natural history" faculty Komila Mirzayeva took the first place. And other Participants also were the winners of several nominations.

     On May 7 in Gulistan state University was held final tournament competition "Mettles and quick-witteds". In competition competed teams of Historical faculty "Kings of joke". Pedagogical faculty "Very, very, very…" and Agro economical faculty "Bojalar". On the whole of competition were marked that the team of Pedagogical faculty "Very, very, very…" took third place with 59 points. The team of Historical faculty "Kings of joke" took second place with 68 points. And the team "Bojalar" took the first place with 70 points. Won team were presented keepsake prises joy YSP "Kamolot".

     The chair of Uzbek linguistics of Gulistan State University together with the chair of Uzbek linguistics of Tashkent State Pedagogical University after Nizami organized a conference on the theme «The actual issues of Uzbek linguistics» which took place in Tashkent on the 22-23 of April, 2010.
     The professors and teaching staff of Gulistan State University chair prepared more then ten reports for the conference.

     A Republican Scientific and practical conference on the theme “The actual problems of teaching the history of Uzbekistan” took place at Gulistan State University on the 15-16th of April. Professor Karshibaev, the Deputy Rector of the University, made a welcoming speech.
     S.Kudratov, the representative of Sirdarya regional city council, wished the conference success. Then the participants listened to the reports of R.Murtazaeva, professor of Uzbek National University, “Some issues of investigating historical monuments in the system of higher education”, M.Isakova, professor of Tashkent institute of Oriental Studies “ The importance of material and substantial items when learning the history of Uzbekistan”, I.Amanjulov, senior Lecturer of Gulistan State University, “The actual issues of a etiology in Uzbekistan: achievements and shortcomings”, A.Ashirov, doctor of historical sciences from the Institute of History “The role of innovation methods when teaching the history of Uzbekistan”.

     One of the participants of the telegame “Erudition” and an active member of sport teleprogrammes G.Rakhmatullaev visited our University on the 12th of April. He got acquainted with the life and activities of the University students.
     G.Rakhmatullaev initiated a competition between two teams named “Everest” and “Harmony”, in which the gifted students participated. The team “Harmony” became the winner.
     The enthralling activity made everybody happy.

     This festival-competition is organized annually in spring, bringing joy, youth, renovation and love.
     The initial step of the festival, organized among the first year students of the Natural History Department, was the festival “The Princess of Nature”. Students F.Akhmedova (gr 5-13), Z.Mamatkulova (gr 5-12), N.Aralova (gr 5-11), S.Gallaeva (gr 5-16) took an active part in the contest.
     Beautiful girls demonstrated their knowledge and skills. N.Aralova, student of group 5-11, became the winner of the contest.

     A scientifical and practical conference, devoted to the topical issues of teaching the History of Uzbekistan will be held on the 15th and 16th of April, 2010 at Gulistan state University. Four sections will be functioning in the course of the conference. Scientists from various institutions of our Republic will take part in it. Historians, philosophers and researchers will be guests and participants of this conference.
     Nowadays the staff of Gulistan state University is actively preparing for this event.

     An orientation conference devoted to the beginning of the pedagogical practice took part in Gulistan State University on the 24th - 26th of March. Karshibaev H. education department prorector, Aralov A. education department chief and Mamatkulov M. the chief of the pedagogical practice took part in the conference and got students acquainted with the aims and challenges of the training course. The drawbacks of the previous year’s training period were discussed. The conference was attended by scientists, experienced methodists and the fourth-year students.

     The festival of Navruz was being celebrated at each faculty of Gulistan State University from the 22 nd to the 23 rd of March. Prorector of enlightment and spiritual education Ravshan Makhmudov and the teaching staff congratulated students with the coming of spring and renewal. The contest of spring dishes and dainties took place.
    The artists’ performances impressed greatly the participants of the celebration.

     The scientists of General biology of Uzbekistan, Pedagogy and psychology, Uzbek literature and others will participate the fair with their projects Actual and important themes are included in their projects.

     The measure devoted to the national poet of Uzbekistan Tura Sulaymon was held in GSU on February 13.
     The 1st pro-rector R. Mahmudov led the ceremony. Prof. K. Yuldashev of NUU and his companion in arms T. Adashboev, H. Shodmon shared the memories students of Filology faculty read the poems of Tura Sulaymon.

     A celebration devoted to the 569th birthday of the great poet Nizamitdin Mir Alisher Navoi was organized in Gulistan State University on the 8th of February. U.Uljabayev , associate professor and head of Uzbek literary chair, M.Mamatqulova, associate professor, and Sh.Shukurova, a 4th year student, presented their reports about the poet’s creativity. The students of the department H.Bazarova, M.Nazarova, N.Faizikulova, S.Yulbarsova read some of Navoi’s gazelles.

On the 22 nd of January there was conducted a performance lesson «In the world of tales» on the subject «Oral Folk Creativity» prepared by the teacher of the Russian Language and literature chair D.Dzhabbarova with the active support of students from group 1-15 of the Slavonic philology department.

     "Mehr-nuri" (Charity Ray) association attached to Forum and declared about the contest for gifted students Dilbar Rakhimova, a third-year student of the philological department, and Edgora Rakhmonalieva, a third year student from the pedagogical department of Gulistan State University, won out on the republican level.
     Hilola Sultanova, a fourth year student of the economics depaptment, earned a stipend after Alisher Navoi.

     The presentation of the book "Ozod Sharafiddinov in the memory of his contemporaries" was held in the assembly hall of Gulistan State University on the 8th of April.
     Professor Tashkenbaev, University Rector underlined the importance of the presentation in his welcoming speech.
     Different people spoke about the life and activity of Ozod Sharafiddinov. Among them were U. Normatov professor of Uzbek National University, Z. Zhabdarov people's poet of Uzbekistan, U. Khoshimov people's writer of Uzbekistan, M.Sharafiddinova scientist, specialist in literature and follower of her father's ideas.

     The meeting with the people's poetess Halima Hudaiberdieva and poet Mukhammad Ismail took place in the assembly hall of Gulistan State University on the 15th of March.
     Ravshan Makhmudov, the first prorector on the issues of spirituality and enlightenment spoke. He made those who were present acquainted with the creative work of their country - people.
     The reports of Hayothon Ortikbaeva, senator of the Supreme Council of the republic, Hayot Shadmon, a poet, Umurzak Uljabaev, assistant professor, the chief of the Uzbek literature chair, were listened to with great attention. Hudaiberdieva H. and Ismail M. recited new poems and answered the students' questions.
