Regional Language Learning Center

    The Sirdarya regional centre of language training is located in Gulistan city of the Sirdarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
    The  regional centre of language training is situated in Gulistan State University which is the only higher educational institution in the Sirdarya region.
    The Sirdarya regional centre of language training was founded in Gulistan State University in 1991.  The purpose of the centre was to train the students of other faculties of the university and all the people who want in foreign languages.  Three-, five- and ten-month courses are organized our centre.
    The staff of our Language learning center consists of 10 people. They are the director, methodologist, laboratory assistant and 7 high qualified teachers with the qualifying period of teaching of 5-15 years.          
    The acquirement of knowledge of the English language is necessary for those students, who want to find an approach to books, magazines, and Internet resources in English. Also students of the University require lessons of English if they want to continue their study abroad, as the language centre trains the students basing on the program of TOEFL and IELTS.  These test programs are the most effective in the world in defining the level of students' knowledge. The skills of the English language are necessary for the businessmen cooperating with their partners in foreign business, and make it easy to collaborate with non governmental organizations, which work in Uzbekistan now.
    In the given time at our Sirdarya regional centre of language training students are trained in the English, German, Russian and Uzbek languages. In the future the organization is planning to train students in French and Korean. The large attention to studying languages is paid from the point of view of their use in various spheres of activity, development of written and oral speech. We try to make our language centre accessible to everyone. For this purpose we use all opportunities, we support communication (connection) with several organizations dealing with the study of languages. Now our language centre organizes training and preparatory courses for those who apply to foreign high schools on the basis of such program materials as GMAT, GRE, TOEFL, and test books (with the use of audio and video materials). The employees of the language centre assiduously work over the achievement of these aims.
    To achieve this purpose all conditions have been arranges at the centre. The users can enjoy modern computer technologies, a rich library, comprising books and magazines of foreign publishing houses and lecture rooms equipped in accordance with modern requirements.
