The social youth movement organization (SYMO) began its initial work on June 8, 2001. The chairman of the organization is Ummatov B.
Six faculties are functioning at the university and each faculty has its own “Kamolot” leader, such as:
Philology faculty – Rizakulov Komil
Physics and mathematics – Sultanov Sarvar
History faculty – Mukhammedov Djurabek
Pedagogical faculty – Rakhmonaliyeva Yodgora
Nature Study Faculty – Kuchkarov Eldor
Agricultural and Economic faculty – Alikulov Alim
The initial organization “Kamolot” had 11 committees. The committee consists of the committee council and initial organization clubs. These are such clubs as “Culture”, “Sport”, “The Press”, “Information Technologies”, “International Relations”, “Vatanparvar” (“Patriot”), “Study”, “Scientific Works”, “Student Council”, girls club “Smart and Neat”, “Leaders club”. The representatives of these committees and clubs held their activity at each of the faculties. Each group has all conditions for social youth movement (SYMO) “Kamolot”, such as small hall for holding meetings, computers and computer equipments, telephone, books, handouts. Computers are connected with Internet. Each Friday the Council of the initial organization opens its meeting. Each committee and club makes a report for the meeting of the work arranged for a week. The leaders of the clubs and committee members who get high marks are encouraged.
The month of involving students in the membership of the committee and clubs was organized in February. The first place was awarded the committee of international relations on marks gathered. 1034 students were involved in the membership.
A group of trainers has organized in winter school of active members Khilola Sultonova, Azizbek Khakberdiev, Shukhrat Shokirov, Fatima Kudratova, Shakhnoza Kuldasheva were trainers in 2008. Lobar Khudjanova, Shakhlo Mukhtarova, Sarvar Sultanov, Fazliddin Djalilov, Jasur Subankulov, Eldar Kuchkarov, Nasiba Umanova, Olim Alikulov became active participants in 2009.
A branch of youth study centre “Etakchi” was opened by the council of social youth movement “Kamolot” in Syrdarya region. The Head office of the study centre is located at Gulistan State University. All the conveniences have been organized. At present the study centre became its work on accordance with the plan, held training seminars on the topics “The Duty of a Leader”, “What is a real leader like?” organized for “Kamolot” leaders. The study centre “Etakchi” hold training seminars on different topics, in all the schools, districts and villages.
