History faculty

    The faculty began its activity in 1998 under the name "History and Social Sciences." For the past years the position of the chair was governed by B. Bobohanov, G.Davirova, A.. Ergashev, A.Abulqosimov, K.Abdushukurov, O.Auypov. In 1995 the faculty was united with the faculty of the Uzbek Philology and was given the name of the Faculty of History and Uzbek Philology. In 1999 the faculty was separated again.
    At this moment there are 40 professors and teachers at the faculty. The faculty prepares specialists in the direction of " The History and the Idea of the National Independence", Law and Spiritual Enlightenment". Students study in auditoriums equipped with up-to-date technology. The library with all conveniences is working for the independent study of students.
    There are 3 computer classes at the faculty. All computers are connected to the Internet and students can use them according to schedule.
    For the past 3 years there were published 2 books, 4 text-books and more than 20 training methodical appliances. At this moment 35 training- methodical complexes are prepared and inculcated on the learning process. All necessary conditions are created for teachers and students to do their research work. Each department does scientific work on their directions. The faculty conducts cooperative works with leading educational and research institutes.
    The main part of the creative group consists of the teachers of the faculty. They often speak at meetings and give lectures on urgent problems of today in different organizations of the region, at enterprises and military districts. for the past three years three research papers are defended, two dissertations are prepared to be defended. For the coming years two PhD thesis's and six Post-Graduate dissertations are planned to be defended.
    The research works of students are mainly done in schools, colleges and student circles. Individual works are done with the gifted students. The staff of the faculty fills up by young specialists. For the last years B. Tuychibayev successfully defended his Post-Graduate dissertation on archaeology, S Ismailov - on Philosophy, M. Temirova- on Philosophy.
    N.Narjigitova, Sh.Kenjayev, B.Gofurov, N.Asrorova, are finishing their scientific work. Assistant Professor O. Ayupov has published the book " The World, Politic, Society" as the auxiliary informational material for students. Archaeologist T.Omonjulov began his research work on the ancient culture of Central Asia and achieved big scientific results. assistant Professor S. Kudratov has published his text-book under the name " Ancient Cities of Central Asia ." ( Tashkent 2006) . Interesting meetings and workshops are systematically conducted at the faculty. There is a separate cabinet of " Spirit and Enlightenment", where students can get acquainted with different books and publications. The faculty concentrate its attention to the students' spending their time very interesting and purposefully studying in Bachelor. If the faculty had admitted 25 students in 1985, but in 2004 195 students entered the faculty.
     In 2001 the faculty opened the departments “The Idea of National Independence, Law and spiritual enlightenment”.
    The faculty prepare specialists on two directions mainly in 5220200 - History and International relations; and 5141500 - The Idea of National Independence, Law and spiritual enlightenment.
There are 4 chairs in faculty: the chair of
History of Uzbekistan , General History, Philosophy and national idea of independence , Principles of theory construction democratic society in Uzbekistan.
    More than 10 subjects  are  taught  in the  departments. Educational-and-methodical  collections; methodical textbooks, tests, synopses  were worked out by the  teachers  of departments  and they   widely apply them in the teaching  process. 
    They were  all installed  in computer classes  of the departments, in the library, reading hall, in the informational resource  center,  in the center  of multimedia,  and also into  the portal of University.
     Circles  and “Small schools”  as “Academy”,  “Fikr”, “Turon”,  “A  Lawer”  function  on the basis  of the departments. “In Council  of young  scientists”  assistants- professors  work with  young  specialists  and  masters.
    The faculty  organized  scientific  conferences  on the scale  of the University  and the Republic.The teachers  and talented  students  took  an active  part  at the conferences. 
    The departments  carries  out activities  in cooperation  with the  Institute  of History,  Institute of Philosophy and Law, with number of  High  Educational  Universities  of Uzbekistan,  also with the academic  lyceums  and  professional-technical colleges of our region,  The  faculty give attention  to  improving  qualification  of staff  members   of the departments.  They improve their qualifications in the courses  of High  Pedagogical Institute  at Uzbek  National  University and also  in the  courses  of  informational-communication  technologies  at  “Istedod” H.Mirzaeva and L.Kodirova became the prize-winners of competition “Istedod”. They  improved  their  qualifications  in Sank-Peterburg.
