The history of the department of «Economic theory» begins with formation of Syrdaria pedagogical institute of a name G.Gulyam. In 1992 according to the decree of the President of Uzbekistan the given educational institution was renamed in Gulistan state university, and the department in structure of Historical faculty was called as faculty «General economy». During this time the teaching staff of the given department in all faculties of high school taught a subject Political economy.
    In 1993 in structure of Physical and mathematical faculty, in 1994, in structure of again formed Engineering - economic faculty, from 1995 to 1998  in structure of faculty Economy the faculty carried out the activity under the name «the General economy». The subjects, concerning economy gradually accustomed, but a base subject all there was” an Economic theory”. In 1998 from faculty were allocated as independent faculties «Managements and «accountancy», and faculty «General economy» was renamed into faculty «Economic theory» which it has kept to this day.
    Now on the basis of the staff list of department 9 teachers work: 4 from them candidates of sciences, senior lecturers, 1 senior teacher, 4 teachers. Middle age of teachers of faculty makes 44.3 years. 
    1. Hidiraliev K.E- 1/1/1967. He finished Leninabad state pedagogical institute of a name of Kirov on a specialty "geographer-biologist" in 1991.   In 2002 he protected the master's thesis, the senior lecturer.
    2. Abdullaev H.S. - 1/14/1932. He finished Tashkent pedagogical institute of a name of Belinsky, on a specialty "geographer» in 1959.  In 1969 he protected the master's thesis, the senior lecturer.
    3. Karshibaeva L.K. - 9/11/1967. In 1988, she finished Tashkent state pedagogical institute of a name Nizomiy, on a specialty « the Teacher of geography ». In 2001, she protected the master's thesis, the senior lecturer.
    4.Burhonov A.X.-9/15/1971. In 1994, she finished Tashkent agrarian state university, on a specialty "Economist-organizer". In 2000, he protected the master's thesis, the senior lecturer.
    5. Nurmuhamedova M.H. - 2/11/1965. In 1988, she finished Tashkent state university, on a specialty "Economist", the senior teacher.
    6. Shoev O.H. - 27.12.1982. In 2004, he finished Gulistan state university. The master, on a specialty "Economist", the teacher.
    7. Umaraliev O.R. - 9/29/1981. In 2007, he finished Gulistan state university. The master, on a specialty "Economist, the teacher.
    8. Rahmatov O.O. - 4/16/1982. In 2007, he finished Gulistan state university. The master, on a specialty "Economist", the teacher.
    9. Ahmedova V.SH. - 7/21/1985. In 2007, he finished Gulistan state university. The master, on a specialty «the Economic theory», the teacher.
    In the present time the teaching staff of the faculty teaches following subjects: 1) the Economic theory; 2) Economic and the international economic attitudes; 3) Economy of wildlife management;
     4) Economy of region and a local facilities; 5) Economic geography and ecology; 6) Geography of the Central Asia; 7) the Technique of teaching of natural study.
    There are the typical programs corresponding to the State educational standards and on their basis in all subjects working programs are developed. On subjects “ the Economic theory ”, “ Economic and the international economic attitudes ”, “ Economy of wildlife management ”, “ Economy of region and a local facilities ”, “ the Economic geography and ecology ”, “ Geography of the Central Asia ”, “the Technique of teaching of natural study on new pedagogical technology”, are developed texts of lectures, teaching-methodical collections, tests, rating development and criteria of estimation, tasks for independent works of students, technological cards.
    On the basis of it on subjects «Geography of the Central Asia», «the Economic geography and ecology» are prepared teaching-methodical collections and recommended by the ministry of higher education to the publication. On  a subject « Economic geography and ecology» the electronic textbook is prepared, the hard work on creation of electronic versions of textbooks on subjects «Economy of wildlife management», « Economy of region and a local facilities» is conducted.
    The faculty conducts active cooperation with «Аkaltin social and economic» college, result of that was opening branch of the department in this educational institution. Within the limits of cooperation texts of lectures, teaching-methodical collections are prepared, the scientific management of research works of teachers of college is carried out.
     For effective and qualitative realization of teaching -methodical works the faculty cooperates with following HIGH SCHOOLS and faculties of republic:
1)  TSAU, department Agrobusiness;
2)  NUUZ, department «Economic geography and regional economy»;
3)  Economy;
4)  The Tashkent Institute of improvement of professional skill of teachers department, «Economic theory»;
5)  ТSEU, department «Managements, «Ecology and regional economy», «the Economic theory», «the International economic attitudes»;
6)  SSU;
7) University of Economic and diplomacy, faculty «Management» and «the Economic theory».
    The teaching staff of the department applies nonconventional methods of teaching, in particular, training on distance, computer technologies, and modern pedagogical technologies. For example, in 2009-2010 of academic year, the senior lecturer Hidiraliev K.E., the senior lecturer Burhanov A.X. and senior teacher Nurmuhamedova M.H. have completely applied this process on teaching of «the Economic theory» students of the first course. The faculty of faculty has passed courses of improvement of qualification on latin graphics, computer technologies and the modern pedagogical technologies, led in GSU. Every year teachers of faculty raise qualification on specialty, according to the plan approved by a teaching department. In 2007-2008 of academic year, the senior lecturer Burhonov A.X., (Germany), the senior lecturer Karshibaeva L.K. (NUUz), senior teacher Nurmuhamedova M.H. (ТSU) raised their qualifications.
     The faculty in cooperation with faculty « General economy » annually prepares for industrial and non-productive sphere of Syrdaria region more than 100 experts.
    The teaching staff of the department spends employment on the basis of new pedagogical technologies, alongside with it conducts research work on a problem: « Problems of increasing of efficiency of a market mechanism in conditions of market economy»:

    5. Senior teacher Nurmuhamedova M.H. - «Problems of production efficiency in farms».
    6. Teacher Shoev O.H. - «Problems of perfection externally-economic activities».
    7. Teacher Umaraliev O.R. - «Factors and directions of increase of efficiency of work in farms».
    8. Teacher Rahmatov O.O. «the Infrastructure of an agriculture and the mechanism of its formation».
    9. Teacher Ahmedova V.SH. «Perfection of the economic mechanism territorial accommodations of manufacture».
    Recently each enterprise and the organization aspire to participate in economic contracts, to win the grant. In particular, in 2007 the faculty concluded the contract with « Central administrative board of work and social protection of the population of Syrdaria area » for the sum 300.000sum, in 2009 concluded the contract with firm Аli for the sum 500.000 sum on a theme: «Strategic directions of the organization of activity of firm» also  satisfied a condition of the contract.
