Department of sentral chemistm Presently 3 doctors of chemical sciences, professors (0.5 rate), 2 candidates of sciences, 3 senior teachers. Assistant professor Abdurakhmanova U.K. heads the department. 1 computer room and 5 laboratories are functioning under the department. There is also the centre of information and resources the scientific fund of which includes 250 copies of scientific literature in the department.
The members of the department take scientific activity on the following theme: “Mechanism of reactions in some kinds of metals of natural and organic phases with the help of heterocyclic compounds”. They published more than 500 scientific articles and theses, about 20 studying and methodic appliances.

Special attention is paid to students` scientific activity. Mini school and subject circles are functioning at the department. 
The department cooperates with the Institute of bioorganic chemistry after S.O.Sadykov, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, institute of nuclear physics, institute of chemistry of planted substances, institute of general and non-organic chemistry, institute of physics and chemistry of polymers, National university of Uzbekistan, Samarkand state university.
