          Information Resource Center. Information Resource Center is an important base at the department. This center possesses 16 computers of latest versions, printer, scanner and video projectors. There are electron versions of all subjects taught in the department, electron aids, and presentations of the lectures, virtual laboratory and stands in the center. Moreover, information center is important base for the presentations of the works of the staff of the department and students of the faculty. All computers of the center are connected to global network Internet. As well as the center has aids on subjects taught at the department, methodical appliances, qualification works, course works, dissertations and scientific magazines and other materials concerning carried out scientific researches.

          Museum of the Department. Museum keeps samples of researches and methodical works carried out by the staff and students of the department, exponents and preparats of the animal world of the continent. As well as it is used as scientific laboratory for the researches carried out on zoology.

Educational auditoriums and laboratories. The laboratories and practical rooms and educational auditoriums are equipped according to the plan.

Experimental Biology Laboratory

Experimental Biology Laboratory. It includes laboratories “Biotechnology”, “The gene bank of salt tolerant plants” and “Malakology” organized according to the carried out scientific researches at the department. The carried out researches themes are as follows:

  1. Study the outer factors of the growing and development of the plants and ruling with the help of active physiologic matters.
  2. Selection and creation of salt tolerant plants.
  3. Dry mollusks spread in the condition of Central Asia.

Projects. The department has been carrying out certain local and international projects in the past few years:

  1. Fundamental Research Direction “Study the adaptation mechanism of insects” (2000-2003);
  2. International Project in collaboration with International Organization such as IWMI, ICARDA and ICBA “Organization good living condition being against in Aral Basin land and water resources degradation” (2005-2007);
  3. Practical Research Direction “Creation of the preparats against diseases of wheat and stimulating the development and growing of wheat using local production” in collaboration with National University of Uzbekistan. (2006-2008);
  4. Fundamental Research Direction “The spread of dry mollusks in Uzbekistan and adjoining territories and their epidemic evolution” (2009-2012);
  5. Practical Researches Direction “The Creation of preparats against wheat diseases” (2009-2011);
  6. “Selection of salt tolerant sorts of potatoes and working out production technologies” in collaboration with CIP (from 2008);
  7. “Keeping salt tolerant plants of Mirzachul and reproduction of abandoned lands” (from 2009).

Study the development of outer influencing factors and growing of plants and ruling them with the help of active physiologic matters

Researches carried out through biotechnology.

dars
The stimulation and functional feature were defined through in vitro condition of natural physiologic active matters taken from plants.
dars
The preparats made by this case is offered for the production because of its stimulation and growing features.
The salt tolerance indices of the wheat were defined in studying them in vitro condition.
The functional influence of wheat against diseases was defined.
The result from studying growing development of various saline soil degree condition of autumn wheat is important. In this case the salt tolerance of wheat was defined that it is linked with the degree of phenol combinations. The phenol combinations in root cells create salt ions and complex combinations melting in water and thus it influences onto tolerance degree.

The Gene-Bank of Salt tolerant Plants.

dars
The genebank is organized to keeping and developing bio-variety of the existing samples of germplazms of salt tolerant plants in local agriculture.

dars

It was defined the combination feature mechanism of salt on the basis of restudying of local and foreign introduced plants. The extension methods are used in ecologic restoration of salted lands and in keeping bio-variety.

The defense of Plant. The investigations were carried out on the basis of preservation bio-variety and defense plants against insects and diseases. According to the carried out investigations the preparat DKM-1 was created against funge disease.

Selection and creation of salt tolerant plants

The salt tolerance indices of plants samples were studied through introduction from foreign countries and of local community. According to the influence on changeability and determination indices of wheat it was studied 4 wheat sorts, 2 cotton sorts of local salt tolerant sorts and halophytes and they were offered for production.

Malakology

Mollusks are very important natural e-conductors. On the basis of studying these mollusks the principles of evolution development of vital organisms and outer influence, we may conclude that there are changes in vital organisms. According to the researches in this direction the spread principles of the group mollusks in bushes. It was defined more than 10 new types of dry group mollusks in Uzbekistan and adjoining territories.

Collaborations

dars
  The department has scientific collaborations with many scientific centers and international organizations according to the carried out researches. These collaborations are widely developed through contracts.
